About The Position
The Image Processing Assistant will receive patients and their families, directing them to the appropriate areas, process all radiology imaging requests, and answer phones. As needed, the assistant will act as a back-up to the Radiology Scheduling Staff, scheduling routine appointments and explaining necessary preparations with complete accuracy. Patient transport is also a responsibility.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Solid administrative skills to compose short correspondence and memos.
- Superior communication skills to interact with our patients as well as internal and external customers.
- Must be computer literate, possess the ability to adapt to new systems and master them upon training.
- Intermediate technical skills necessary as well as the ability to communicate technical information to individuals or in a small group setting.
- Problem solving and analytical skills required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
