About The Position

Three Crosses Regional Hospital is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Internal Medicine Physician to join our Residency Program as a Core Faculty member. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who is passionate about teaching, mentoring, and shaping the next generation of Internal Medicine physicians while maintaining a limited outpatient practice. Three Crosses Regional Hospital is an advanced, independent healthcare organization led by a local team of professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and being the first choice for patients and providers in the communities we serve. The Residency Internal Medicine Core Faculty Physician provides educational leadership and clinical supervision for Internal Medicine residents in an outpatient setting. This role is responsible for resident precepting, didactic instruction, office procedure training, and mentorship while supporting the academic mission of the residency program. Approximately 80% of the position is dedicated to teaching, precepting, and administrative responsibilities, with 20% devoted to direct patient care.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure.
  • Demonstrated commitment to resident education and mentorship.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous teaching or academic experience preferred.
  • Interest in geriatric medicine is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Precept and supervise PGY-1, PGY-2, and PGY-3 Internal Medicine residents in the continuity clinic.
  • Provide timely feedback, coaching, and mentorship to residents.
  • Assist in evaluating resident performance and competency development.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Develop and deliver didactic lectures and educational conferences.
  • Teach office-based procedures and evidence-based clinical practices.
  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous program improvement.
  • Attend faculty meetings, residency committees, and educational activities as required.
  • Support resident scholarly activities and professional development.
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient Internal Medicine care.
  • Maintain high standards of patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
