About The Position

The New School was founded by forward-thinking educators in 1919 to defy the intellectual constraints of a traditional college education. BFA Illustration is seeking a student employee to support the BFA Illustration Senior Show. Applicants must be seniors in the Illustration program. In addition, students must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail; be able to carefully transport and handle artwork and materials; print posters; be familiar with Google Spreadsheets; and communicate responsibly with Professors Jordin Isip and Rodger Stevens, the Senior Show Coordinators. Support the Senior Show Coordinating Faculty Jordin Isip and Rodger Stevens. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the intake of Seniors’ artwork and promotional materials on Fri, March 6
  • Catalog the received student exhibition materials on Google Spreadsheets
  • Transfer artwork and exhibition materials from the Illustration Office to Kellen Gallery
  • Prepare artwork and materials for installation
  • Assist with the installation of artwork, exhibition materials, promotional cards, labels, statements, and exhibition signage to the walls
  • Create and print promotions, posters and flyers for the exhibition
  • Set up the catering for the Tue, March 17th opening reception
  • Assist with the de-installation of artwork and other exhibition materials
