About The Position

Ute Pass Regional Health Service District is seeking a Paramedic to support interfacility transport operations in partnership with regional healthcare facilities. The provider delivers safe, professional, and compassionate patient care during transfers between healthcare facilities, assessing, monitoring, and supporting patients throughout transport. The role requires sound clinical judgment, reliable communication, and a commitment to continuity of care. Providers work within their applicable Paramedic/ALS scope of practice, coordinate with sending and receiving facilities, complete accurate documentation, maintain unit readiness, and represent the District professionally in patient and partner interactions. This is a grant-funded, limited-term position anticipated to continue for up to five years. The assigned shift rotation is determined by the District. The current schedule consists of 12-hour shifts rotating between three days on/four days off and four days on/three days off. Schedules may change based on operational needs, system metrics, and District requirements. The position requires availability for weekends, holidays, and rotating schedules. The posting describes full-time benefits including medical coverage, dental and vision coverage options, retirement plan options, and paid time off. It also describes wellness support, though some details are presented as general or typical offerings rather than confirmed specific benefits. The District’s broader EMS work includes a Community Paramedic program, mobile integrated healthcare, mental health interventions, and in-home preventative care. The position is based in the Woodland Park, Colorado area, described as a mountain community near Pike National Forest and Colorado Springs.
