About The Position

The Identity and Access Management Engineer, Principal provides technical leadership across identity, authentication, authorization, privileged access, cloud security, governance, and automation, while supporting broader Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies. The position partners with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and architecture teams to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable enterprise solutions. The role architects, implements, administers, and supports enterprise identity and access management solutions, including Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and hybrid identity services. It also supports Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid-cloud environments; develops automation and monitoring; provides senior-level troubleshooting and technical leadership; and contributes to standards, documentation, audits, risk remediation, governance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

7–10 years of progressive experience in identity and access management, cloud engineering, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or related disciplines.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated experience designing and supporting enterprise identity, Entra ID, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid-cloud environments.
Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, securing, and supporting enterprise identity and access management solutions.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory, including Conditional Access, MFA, passwordless authentication, PIM, RBAC, Identity Protection, federation, and hybrid identity.
Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies, including SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, Kerberos, LDAP, PKI, and certificates.
Experience with Enterprise Applications, App Registrations, service principals, workload identities, managed identities, API permissions, and Microsoft Graph.
Strong understanding of identity governance, Zero Trust, least privilege, privileged access, and role-based access controls.
Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, securing, and supporting Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
Strong understanding of Azure architecture, networking, security, governance, monitoring, and resiliency.
Strong knowledge of Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Purview.
Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Azure CLI, Terraform, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
Experience with cloud security concepts including encryption, secrets management, key management, privileged access, and security monitoring.
Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, diagnostic logging, and SIEM integrations.
Knowledge of AWS identity and access management concepts and platforms, including IAM, IAM Identity Center, roles, policies, permission sets, and identity federation.
Experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies including Windows Server, Linux, DNS, Active Directory, IIS, SQL Server, virtualization, and networking.
Strong communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and technical leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Broadcom/CA IAM, ForgeRock, or similar IAM platforms.
Relevant Microsoft identity, Azure, Microsoft 365, or security certifications.
AWS, Terraform, or other relevant industry certifications.
Technical leadership or mentoring experience; direct people-management experience is not required.

Responsibilities

Architect, implement, administer, and support enterprise identity and access management solutions, including Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and hybrid identity services.
Design and manage Entra ID capabilities, including Conditional Access, authentication methods, MFA, passwordless authentication, Identity Protection, Enterprise Applications, App Registrations, PIM, managed identities, and RBAC.
Design and support authentication, authorization, federation, SSO, and identity integrations using SAML, OAuth, OIDC, certificates, and modern authentication.
Manage secure integration of applications, service principals, workload identities, managed identities, and APIs with enterprise identity platforms.
Design and support privileged access, least-privilege, role-based access, and identity governance controls across cloud and hybrid environments.
Design and maintain secure identity and access controls across Azure subscriptions, resources, applications, and services.
Maintain working knowledge of AWS identity and access management platforms and their integration with enterprise identity services.
Architect, implement, administer, and support broader Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid-cloud solutions.
Engineer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Defender, and Purview.
Support Azure infrastructure and platform services, including compute, storage, networking, Private Link, Key Vault, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.
Implement cloud and identity automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Azure CLI, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Develop and support cloud and identity monitoring, logging, alerting, and security telemetry integrations.
Provide senior-level troubleshooting and technical leadership for complex identity, Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid-cloud issues.
Develop technical standards, operating procedures, architecture documentation, and security controls.
Support audits, risk remediation, identity and cloud governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead identity modernization, cloud migrations, security implementations, or enterprise platform initiatives.
Provide technical leadership or mentoring.
