About The Position

Wake Veterinary Medical Center in Raleigh is seeking an ICU Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join their team. Wake Vet is a 24-hour hybrid hospital that provides primary care, emergency, surgery, internal medicine, oncology, advanced imaging (ultrasound and 64-slice CT), and cardiology services. The hospital has recently expanded its facilities and diagnostic capabilities. They are known for their exceptional ICU care, provided by a stable and experienced team of credentialed technicians and assistants. Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a veterinary ICU or critical care setting, preferred.
• Strong understanding of ICU procedures, patient handling, and basic medical terminology.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with the veterinary team and pet owners in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Demonstrated care and empathy for canine and feline patients, providing comfort and reassurance to patients in distress.
