About The Position

Deliver advanced critical care nursing services within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment supporting U.S. government personnel in Iraq. Working alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and nursing teams, this ICU Registered Nurse role combines hands-on patient care with rapid clinical assessment, complex intervention management, and collaborative care coordination in a fast-paced international medical setting. This opportunity offers the ability to care for critically ill patients within a collaborative critical care environment focused on patient safety, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary support.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate, Bachelor, Master of Science in Nursing, or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
3+ years of ICU or critical care experience, including recent direct patient care experience within the past year.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid passport
Ability to obtain and maintain MRPT security clearance and meet pre-deployment physical requirements.

Nice To Haves

CCRN certification preferred in lieu of extensive experience
ATLS preferred
Prior experience supporting military, government, or international healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill patients, including continuous assessment, monitoring, and intervention across high-acuity clinical situations.
Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and critical care treatments while supporting individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Operate and monitor advanced critical care equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion devices, to support safe and effective patient management.
Document patient care accurately within electronic medical records while maintaining continuity of care and compliance with clinical standards.
Support patients and families through education, communication, and advocacy while contributing to a collaborative and patient-centered care environment.
