About The Position

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a full-time night-shift position in a 24-bed Intensive Care Unit staffed by a team of 46. Patient ratios are 1:2, 1:3 for PCU boarders, and 1:1 for sitters or higher-acuity patients. The unit has one CCT/US during the day shift when there are more than 10 patients and uses EPIC for documentation. Scheduling is straight nights or a 50/50 arrangement. The nurse may float to the PCU or work as a sitter anywhere within the inpatient setting. The ideal candidate is an outgoing team player dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of ICU experience; 1 year of strong experience may be considered.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Ability to work night shifts, with 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week period.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a 24-bed Intensive Care Unit.
• Perform or assist with rapid sequence intubations, central line placements, intubation, arterial line placement, and chest tube placement.
• Care for patients requiring ventilators, vasopressors, or restraints.
• Float to the PCU or act as a sitter anywhere within the inpatient setting when needed.
