About The Position

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is hiring ICU Registered Nurses for its Float Pool. The pool supports critical care units, primarily the main ICU, as well as ICU-level care in the Emergency Department and PACU. Nurses may float to Trauma, MICU, SICU, Cardiology, Neurology, and PCU. The role offers the opportunity to practice at the top of the nursing license using research, innovation, and evidence-based practices, with clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities. Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, communication, and collaboration are essential. Requirements

• At least one year of experience and a minimum of 1,000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed registered nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current Connecticut RN License required before the start date.
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of critical care experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in critical care units, primarily the main ICU.
• Support ICU-level care in the Emergency Department and PACU.
• Float to units including Trauma, MICU, SICU, Cardiology, Neurology, and PCU.
• Practice using research, innovation, and evidence-based approaches.
