About The Position
Take the next step in your career with Morrison Healthcare as a ICU Lead Dietitian in Torrance, CA! Join our team of 14 dietitians committed to delivering evidence-based nutrition therapy to a diverse patient population. In this role, you will provide inpatient nutrition care within a large teaching hospital of 350 beds. You will have 50% patient care in an ICU setting and 50% management/administrative tasks. Clinical responsibilities include conducting detailed nutrition assessments, developing and implementing individualized nutrition support plans, and managing specialized feeding regimens such as parenteral and enteral nutrition. Management responsibilities include tracking productivity logs, performing chart audits and observations of dietitians, adjusting coverage schedule, and being a resource for clinical questions. Requirements
- RD Credential
- CNSC within 6 months of hire
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with five years of experience
- Master’s degree in nutrition
- Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
- Healthcare experience preferred
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Practice Certification through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed nutrition assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition support plans.
- Manage specialized feeding regimens such as parenteral and enteral nutrition.
- Track productivity logs.
- Perform chart audits and observations of dietitians.
- Adjust coverage schedule.
- Be a resource for clinical questions.
- Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
- Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community.
- Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care.
- Contribute to and lead QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence.
- Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals.
- Support the growth of clinical and departmental staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable.
