The Engineer (ICT Systems) – FAS Specialist provides technical administration and support for Community of Interest (COI) and Functional Area Services (FAS) systems within a NATO environment, ensuring these systems remain available, performant, and compliant with established Service Level Agreements, while configuring and maintaining a mixed Windows/Linux server environment, administering enterprise services such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, GPO, and ADFS, and managing SQL Server and Oracle database platforms; acting as a technical authority on FAS and C2 system interoperability, the Specialist monitors, troubleshoots, and resolves incidents across systems, applications, and databases, drives automation of routine administrative and operational tasks through scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash, JavaScript) to improve efficiency, maintains ongoing security hardening, patching, and vulnerability mitigation, provides direct end-user support and cross-domain stakeholder coordination, and documents configurations, procedures, and best practices to support operational continuity and knowledge transfer, all requiring an experienced ICT professional with SME-level knowledge of NATO C2 systems and architectures, a currently active NATO SECRET clearance, a demonstrated track record supporting mission-critical, multinational environments, occasional physical tasks (including lifting equipment up to 25 lbs and desk-side installation work), and strong written and spoken English proficiency for effective coordination across NATO stakeholders.
