About The Position

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an ICT Engineer / RCDD to develop audiovisual (AV) design requirements for a variety of projects. This hands-on position works with a team of engineers to design energy-efficient buildings for clients and is involved in all phases of projects. The role is based onsite in CMTA’s Minneapolis office.

Requirements

• RCDD certification and demonstrated experience with physical structured cabling infrastructure.
• Experience with broader Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems.
• At least 2 years of experience in AV design, planning, and project management.
• Working knowledge of audio, video, and audiovisual products from major manufacturers.
• Working knowledge of computer networks as they relate to IP-based audio and video signal transport and Unified Communications-based video/audio conferencing.
• Expertise in sound systems, including microphone and speaker requirements, placement, and integration in acoustic environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop AV design requirements by discussing client needs and coordinating with the internal design team.
• Design and coordinate audio/video systems with architectural and engineering disciplines for spaces such as boardrooms, collaboration rooms, huddle spaces, town hall venues, conference rooms, and multipurpose rooms.
• Develop 2D and 3D drawings showing AV equipment layouts and system schematic diagrams.
• Organize and lead coordination meetings and prepare detailed meeting minutes.
• Contribute to projects through all phases while working with engineers and clients.
