About The Position

As an ICT Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and optimising Goodstart’s Microsoft Azure and connected cloud environments. Working closely with the Infrastructure Architect and broader ICT teams, you will implement, maintain and enhance secure, resilient and scalable cloud infrastructure aligned with Goodstart’s technology roadmap and digital transformation initiatives. You’ll contribute to the ongoing uplift of enterprise cloud capability, supporting hybrid connectivity, automation, infrastructure-as-code, and operational excellence across the organisation’s cloud platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative ICT environment where your technical expertise and proactive approach will directly support service reliability, security, performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience supporting and administering Microsoft Azure infrastructure within enterprise or hybrid environments
  • Strong scripting, automation and Infrastructure-as-Code experience
  • Experience supporting cloud operations, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery processes
  • Understanding of cloud security principles including conditional access and privileged identity management
  • Exposure to Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline concepts
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability across cloud infrastructure environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across infrastructure, security and service delivery teams
  • Current QLD Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender or LogicMonitor will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of ITIL 4 and ServiceNow ITSM processes will be highly regarded
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications will be highly regarded

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain and optimise Microsoft Azure infrastructure and connected cloud services
  • Support hybrid connectivity across on-premises and cloud environments
  • Implement solutions aligned to enterprise architecture standards and governance frameworks
  • Assist with Infrastructure-as-Code deployments and automation initiatives
  • Support CI/CD pipeline automation within Azure DevOps environments
  • Monitor cloud performance, utilisation and operational health across platforms
  • Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests and infrastructure issues
  • Apply security controls including conditional access, privileged identity management and least-privilege principles
  • Support backup, disaster recovery and vulnerability remediation activities
  • Maintain technical documentation, monitoring systems and CMDB records
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security and service delivery teams to support operational excellence
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cloud optimisation initiatives across the ICT environment
