About The Position

This position is responsible for conducting physical and visual inspections of product and systems and is accountable for the day‑to‑day quality and inventory functions within the Distribution Center. Responsibilities include accurately documenting and calculating results, and taking corrective action when needed (e.g., alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes; identifying, segregating, and isolating non‑conforming product). Results should be reported to management in a timely manner. The role also ensures consistent handling of product throughout the facility by performing inventory counts and audits to verify product accuracy, quality, and potential damage, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records. Additional responsibilities include reconciling inventory discrepancies and notifying leadership of irregularities or potential roadblocks. The position is responsible for identifying, segregating, and monitoring quality holds once communicated to the Distribution Center, and for troubleshooting quality and inventory of discrepancy issues. Routine reporting includes daily and weekly deliverables for ICQA Supervisors, such as the end of shift reporting, DC error log, rework man‑hour reporting, GREF zone issues, and cycle count metrics. Additional assignments may be assigned as needed. All team members are responsible for safety—this includes, but is not limited to, adhering to personal safety practices and maintaining food‑safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Must pass the forklift and high reach lift written test and driving skills test within two weeks of hire.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure documents, and shipping/receiving process documentation as they relate to company objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 6 months or more related experience in a quality or inventory role in a big box in Food manufacturing or another high-volume environment.
  • Reading, writing, basic English communication, excellent math skills, Microsoft Office Suite fluent.
  • Previous WMS experience, and ability to learn other warehousing software.

  • Examining contents and comparing them with records (manifests, orders, etc.) to verify accuracy.
  • Conferring and corresponding with facility representatives to resolve issues related to damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards with attention to detail.
  • Performing cycle counts of physical inventory, monitoring ongoing inventory issues, and reporting findings to the Supervisor regarding discrepancies.
  • Using RF guns, Blue Yonder, IMI, Oracle, Bartender, and other warehouse management systems to ensure accurate results.
