About The Position

The Icing Runner plays a critical role in maintaining proper storage, handling, and rotation of icings and fillings to support efficient production and product quality. This position ensures that icing systems remain stocked, equipment is properly cleaned, and all food safety and quality standards are consistently followed.

Requirements

  • Employees must be able to stand for extended periods, frequently use hands and arms with some reaching, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Return all icing at the end of each shift to designated locations, ensuring all buckets are emptied back into bowls and returned to the mixer.
  • Accurately date and label all icing made and placed in buckets daily to maintain quality control records.
  • Rotate icing using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to prevent waste and ensure product freshness.
  • Keep icing machines full throughout the shift to support continuous operation and efficiency.
  • Empty icing machines at the end of each shift and ensure they are properly cleaned to reduce waste.
  • Follow all GMP guidelines to maintain product quality and food safety standards.
  • Adhere to workplace safety protocols and promote a safe environment for all team members.
  • Wear sleeves when transferring product from bowls and bins to buckets and/or machinery.
  • Report any issues impacting product quality or food safety to management.
  • Ensure all filling and whippy buckets are properly cleaned before returning to pallets, with lids tightly closed and no residual product left on pallets.
  • Properly store extra sleeve packs and gloves in the designated clear tote; do not leave items on buckets, pallets, or machines.
  • Ensure all allergen items are used first from the allergen bay and that any remaining items are properly labeled, stored, and returned to the appropriate allergen bay at the end of the shift.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift.
  • Support overall production efficiency by ensuring proper handling and availability of icings and fillings.
  • Follow all established procedures related to food safety, storage, and equipment use.
