About The Position

The Ice Technician is responsible for the ice rink, proper safe operation of the ice resurfacer (Zamboni), and maintenance of all areas of the facility. The ice technician will report to the Director of Ice Rink. This role will pay an hourly rate of $16.00.

Valid driver's license.
Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of heavy objects.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as a productive member of a team.
Capable of working a flexible schedule and extended hours, including but not limited to working early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to traditional business hours.
Basic understanding/willingness to learn hockey rules and regulations.
Proven ability to work well with all levels of management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Learn to maintain the rink ice, including driving and operating the ice resurfacing machine (Zamboni), ice rink edger, and other ice rink tools and applications.
Ensure the arena is cleaned and operating at an optimal level at all times.
Clean and lock down locker rooms.
Clean and maintain restroom facilities.
Ensure arena lobbies are presentable at all times.
Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager.
Show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
