Ice Cream Truck Driver-Greenville
About The Position
This is a part-time seasonal job where you will drive an ice cream truck around the greater Greenville/Spartanburg area, visiting neighborhoods and events to hand out free ice cream. You will also be responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the ice cream truck, including washing it and sweeping the inside. Additionally, you will ensure there is sufficient ice cream stock, potentially requiring trips to the store. The role involves working some evenings and weekends, as events often occur during these times. Requirements
- Prior experience driving large commercial vehicles
- Pristine driving record
- Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality
- High level of maturity and responsibility
- Excellent verbal communication skills; fluent in the English language
- Alignment & commitment to company values (honesty, integrity, fairness, and respect)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Clean driving record
- Ability to manage crowds and serve customers efficiently
- Comfortable with children and patient
- Strategic thinking for optimal route planning
- Ability to work in hot summer weather
- Familiarity with Greenville/Spartanburg area
Nice To Haves
- Strong familiarity with places within the greater Charlotte area and the towns and cities surrounding it.
- Prior basic logistics experience
- Prior customer service experience
- CDL
Responsibilities
- Driving ice cream truck around the community, neighborhoods, and events
- Giving out free ice cream
- Smiling, waving, and interacting with the public, if approached
- All other duties and responsibilities, as assigned by supervisor/manager
