About The Position

As an Ice Cream Server at PJ’s Ice Cream Parlor, you will be responsible for creating memorable experiences for guests through genuine hospitality and attentive service. You will combine product knowledge, accuracy, and a positive presence to keep the parlor welcoming, well-stocked, and ready for every guest, while building valuable skills for a career in hospitality. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized environment, accurate cash handling, and contributing to a positive team atmosphere.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of guest service experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • RAMP certification through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or the ability to obtain and maintain certification as required.
  • Ability to speak English fluently and communicate professionally with guests and business contacts.
  • Ability to stand for up to eight hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
  • Ability to follow established resort SOPs related to cash handling, appearance, attendance, phone etiquette, timing, guest service, and food safety.
  • Ability to develop and maintain working knowledge of menus, allergens, and accurate resort information.

  • Create memorable guest experiences through warm, attentive service, genuine conversation, and a willingness to make each interaction feel personal.
  • Maintain a welcoming, service-ready parlor by ensuring it is clean, organized, and well-stocked, while completing daily preparation and side work.
  • Engage guests confidently and informatively by developing knowledge of menus, allergens, and resort offerings, and sharing accurate information.
  • Ensure a polished point of service through accurate cash handling, professional appearance, consistent adherence to resort standards, and careful attention to detail.
  • Contribute to a positive and dependable team environment by communicating clearly, supporting coworkers, anticipating operational needs, and remaining composed during busy periods.
  • Build foundational hospitality skills through hands-on experience in guest relations, service, product knowledge, cash handling, and the daily operation of a high-volume resort outlet.
