Requirements

  • One to three (1-3) years of manufacturing experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Maintain adherence to work hours scheduled (starting, ending, lunch, and break schedules)
  • Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and safety guidelines
  • Be accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of Ice Cream manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist Resource Leader with directing and coordinating the activities of frozen production personnel.
  • Meet performance standards and perform duties of General Utility (Machine Operator), Material Handler, Freezer Operator, Flavor Mixer, and Palletizer.
  • Ensure all necessary mix flavorings meet company standards and are utilized correctly.
  • Ensure quality checks are performed and recorded, including associate quality checks to meet specifications.
  • Communicate with Frozen Production Resource Leader and Senior Resource Leaders regarding daily manufacturing operations.
  • Communicate with other Frozen Production Team Leaders for smooth shift transitions.
  • Perform relief duties for all frozen production job-related tasks.
  • Ensure shift accountability numbers are recorded accurately, including downtime reporting.
  • Ensure proper mixes are prepared and machine setups are accurate before start-up and throughout the shift.
  • Maintain a high level of safety towards people, equipment, and building structures.
  • Inspect equipment for safety and complete/forward work order requests.
  • Keep an orderly and clean work environment.
  • Follow established programs, policies, and practices for Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of SQF.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of continuous improvement and lean methodology.
  • Engage and coach associates to work effectively in teams for process improvements.
  • Lead or facilitate department and cross-functional teams through continuous improvement projects.
  • Interact with plant warehouse inventories and warehouse management systems (Assistics/Shop Orders, etc.).
