About The Position

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and hardworking individual to join our team as a Part-Time Ice Cream Parlor Associate. This position is responsible for providing great customer service, preparing and serving ice cream products, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and helping with the day-to-day operation of the parlor. This is a customer-facing position that is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with people, can stay organized during busy periods, and is willing to help wherever needed.

Requirements

Must be dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
Friendly attitude and willingness to interact with customers.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Basic math skills and ability to accurately handle cash and customer transactions.
Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Take customer orders and accurately operate the point-of-sale/register system.
Scoop and serve ice cream and prepare cones, cups, sundaes, shakes, and other menu items.
Follow proper portioning, food handling, and sanitation procedures.
Restock ice cream, toppings, cones, cups, napkins, and other supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of counters, serving areas, equipment, tables, floors, and customer areas.
Wash and sanitize utensils, containers, and equipment.
Assist with opening and closing duties as scheduled.
Work cooperatively with other employees to keep service moving efficiently during busy periods.
Follow all company food safety, workplace safety, cash-handling, and customer service procedures.
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
