Requirements

  • College degree in a manufacturing related field preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all personnel levels.
  • Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures and ensure clear communication of them.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and work on multiple tasks.
  • Ability to make supervisory-level decisions.
  • Ability to handle disciplinary actions and proper documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of technical machinery or process equipment.
  • Understanding of lubrication, sanitation, change-over, KPIs, new products, PM process.
  • Must take ownership of a work center(s) in a ICMS role.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Performing all job functions in the safest manner possible.
  • Performing all assigned steps in the production and packaging of product.
  • Interviewing, hiring, screening, onboarding, and training of new employees.
  • Linking with HR to understand and determine people-related objectives.
  • Coaching and developing team members through regular feedback, skill-building conversations, and performance check-ins.
  • Maintaining all documentation, training manuals, and any other relevant paperwork.
  • Ensuring that people feel connected to what’s happening through regular communication about the business, taking a humanistic point of view.
  • Making sure that day-to-day line issues are being addressed and the machine functions at optimum performance daily.
  • Understanding the production equipment and being able to solve mechanical problems.
  • Participating as active ICMS leaders, focusing on continuous improvement and coordination of production floor tasks related to team projects.
  • Ensuring line maintenance is issued and completed, working with the Maintenance Supervisor to achieve KPI for downtime.
  • Delegating work assignments to the proper personnel, actively coaching, and following up to ensure completion.
  • Ensuring production of a consistent and quality product at designated cost.
  • Implementing the changeover program, startup check sheets, refining the process, communicating, planning, and conducting production meetings.
  • Working hand in hand with support departments (HR, Logistics, QA, etc.) so that KPIs can be met.
  • Engaging in all aspects of ICMS, Visual Management, and 5S for continual improvement.
  • Coordinating with production and freezer/warehouse departments for changeovers and moving of equipment to storage.
  • Navigating and using web-based programs such as Buildapp, Megamation, DFOS, SAP, Microsoft and SPC.
