About The Position

The Ice Attendant is responsible for maintaining a safe ice skating environment, assisting guests with skating equipment, enforcing facility rules, and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all patrons.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a valid Standard First Aid with CPR C certificate
• Strong skating ability
• Have access to reliable transportation
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong skating ability
• Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references
• Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-ice supervision during program times
• Ensure ice rules are being followed
• Support rental shop and skate sharpening when needed
• Perform first aid when required
• Provide excellent customer service to school groups and members of the public, assisting with any questions or concerns
• Perform opening and closing tasks
• Complete all checklists, incident reports, and other documentation as required
• May also be trained as a cashier
