About The Position

The City of Albert Lea has the following seasonal/temporary positions available: Ice/Arena Maintenance and Arena Attendant. These roles involve maintaining the quality of the ice surface, assisting with game management, and performing janitorial tasks. The Arena Attendant role also includes customer service duties during public skate sessions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years or older (for Ice/Arena Maintenance)
• Valid driver's license (for Ice/Arena Maintenance)
• Honest, responsible, hard worker
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends
• Must be at least 15 years of age (for Arena Attendant)

Nice To Haves

• Experience preferred, but not required - training available (for Ice/Arena Maintenance)

Responsibilities

• Maintain a quality ice surface through scheduled resurfacing and other assigned ice maintenance at the Arena while operating the ice resurfacer and other types of equipment and tools.
• Assist with game management by moving goal nets before and after games, as well as between game periods.
• Performs janitorial tasks in locker rooms, bathrooms, lobbies, bleachers as well as other assigned areas.
• Work as a team member to ensure the building is set and prepared for various activities and events.
• Perform customer service duties during public skate sessions such as ice supervision and cashier.
