About The Position

Toledo Ice Cream is seeking experienced Machine Operators to perform a variety of tasks including maintaining, breaking down, and setting up equipment and machinery. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving basic to moderate operating issues, processing finished or raw materials, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Effective communication with all departments and meeting daily deadlines are essential. Toledo Ice Cream is a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a cooperative owned by over 12,500 family farmers. DFA produces a wide range of dairy products under various regional brands, including cheese, butter, fluid milk, and ice cream. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
1 year or more machine operator experience in a plant environment (food plant background is highly preferred)
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks
Ability to push, pull, stand, walk, climb, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a wet environment
Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime as required, occasional Fridays and holidays
Disclosure of specific peanut allergies if present, due to potential exposure to nut allergens in ice cream plants
