About The Position

The Filler Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining filling equipment within a clean-room production environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant packaging of finished juice products. This role plays a critical part in protecting product integrity following pasteurization and must adhere to elevated food safety, sanitation, and quality standards. In addition to equipment operation, the Filler Operator is responsible for executing sanitation procedures (SSOPs), including proper handling and application of cleaning chemicals. The role works under the direction of the Production Supervisor for operations and in coordination with the Quality team for sanitation and food safety compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed procedures and complete documentation accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in food or beverage manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience operating filling or packaging equipment strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in clean-room, aseptic, or high-sanitation environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with GMPs, sanitation procedures, and food safety practices.
  • Experience handling cleaning chemicals and following SSOPs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate filling equipment in accordance with established procedures and production requirements.
  • Monitor line performance, including fill levels, speeds, and equipment functionality.
  • Perform routine adjustments to maintain efficiency and product quality.
  • Support startup, shutdown, and changeover activities.
  • Maintain strict adherence to clean-room protocols, including gowning, hygiene, and controlled access procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all GMPs and elevated sanitation requirements for post-pasteurization environments.
  • Protect product from contamination through proper handling and operational discipline.
  • Execute sanitation procedures (SSOPs) for filling equipment and related components.
  • Safely handle and apply cleaning and sanitizing chemicals in accordance with established procedures.
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment as required.
  • Ensure all sanitation activities are properly completed and documented.
  • Follow all food safety and quality procedures to ensure product integrity.
  • Support in-process quality checks and documentation as required.
  • Immediately report any contamination risks, deviations, or equipment concerns.
  • Partner with the Quality team during sanitation verification and inspections.
  • Accurately complete production and sanitation records.
  • Maintain clear, legible, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate issues as needed.
  • Identify equipment or sanitation-related issues and communicate to the Production Supervisor.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities as required.
  • Follow all safety procedures related to equipment operation and chemical handling.
  • Use appropriate PPE for both production and sanitation tasks.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or behaviors.
  • Work closely with Production Leads, Production Supervisors, and Quality personnel.
  • Support overall production operations in a team-based environment.
