About The Position
This is a remote position for an IBM Mainframe / JDA application Developer. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience, with a strong background in software engineering and leading large-scale projects in an Agile environment. The developer will need in-depth knowledge of IBM I (AS/400), various communication protocols, and specific programming languages. A proven ability to adopt technology guidelines and exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field).
- 15+ Years of software engineering experience.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering large scale projects involving complex, scalable, and high performing enterprise-wide systems in an Agile environment.
- In depth knowledge of, IBM I (AS/400), communication protocols (FTP, SFTP), knowledge of Apache HTTP.
- Languages required: all IBM I (RPG, CL, DDS, SQL), JavaScript.
- Proven track record with adopting technology guidelines and emerging technologies in teams.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Retail business systems preferred.
- Experience with JDA MMS and financial systems preferred.
- Knowledge of Profound UI would be extremely helpful.
