International Baccalaureate (IB) Teacher – Remote, Independent Contractor
About The Position
Nao Now is seeking experienced and engaging educators familiar with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and approach to learning to support young learners. This is a fully remote, part-time independent contractor position where you will teach 1-on-1 English lessons to children aged 5-12 using a structured, interactive curriculum. The role particularly values educators with experience in IB schools or programs who understand how to foster inquiry, critical thinking, communication, and learner independence. No lesson planning is required as all curriculum and teaching materials are provided, allowing the focus to be on delivering engaging lessons and building students' confidence in English communication.
Requirements
- Native English speaker
- Bachelor's degree or proof of current enrollment in a bachelor's program
- Experience working with children ages 5–12
- Familiarity with International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes and teaching approaches
- Strong understanding of student-centered and inquiry-based learning
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Friendly, engaging, and energetic teaching style
- Reliable wired internet connection (minimum 60 Mbps)
- Quiet, professional teaching environment
- Headset (noise-cancelling preferred)

- Experience teaching in an IB World School
- Experience with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)

Responsibilities
- Teach 25-minute, one-on-one online English lessons to children ages 5–12
- Deliver engaging lessons using Nao Now's structured curriculum
- Apply age-appropriate inquiry-based and student-centered teaching approaches when appropriate
- Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, communication, and independent thinking
- Connect classroom conversations to real-world topics and students' interests
- Support students in expressing their ideas clearly and confidently in English
- Create a positive, supportive, and interactive virtual learning environment
- Provide thoughtful lesson feedback after each class
- Maintain a professional, energetic, and encouraging on-camera presence
