About The Position

GDIT is seeking an IAMD Tactical Action Officer Trainer to support training processes utilizing ship embedded training systems and shore-based distributive training systems. This role involves dynamic assessment of watch standers during integrated scenarios, preparation and customization of curriculum lesson plans and instructor guides, and support for Formal Course Reviews and Curriculum Updates. The trainer will conduct training gap analysis, provide feedback for course improvement, and develop, test, maintain, and deliver Navy Combat Systems training programs. Primary instruction will be in Aegis IAMD Advanced Warfare Training as a Tactical Action Officer (TAO), with a preference for Aegis Baseline 9C knowledge. Additional support includes acting as a Warfare Commander in scenario lab environments, supporting other instructor qualifications, performing NETC evaluations, and assisting the Site Lead/Manager.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance.
• 8 years of experience in all facets of combat systems tactical employment to include the management of combat systems personnel, planning and direction of Navy Surface, Air and Subsurface Warfare mission requirements, and Command and Control of shipboard combat operations.
• 1 year of experience as an Instructor/Trainer/Evaluator in a Navy Training Environment, to include curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials and the results of instruction and counseling students on academic learning problems.
• Experience as a qualified TAO and/or a Master/Afloat Training Specialist in support of SCSTC /TACTRAGRU/ATG is a significant plus.
• Must be able to support training with extended periods on your feet while instructing.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work/military experience.

Responsibilities

• Support training process utilizing ship embedded training systems and shore-based distributive training systems requiring dynamic assessment of watch standers during integrated scenarios.
• Prepare, review, and customize curriculum lesson plans and instructor guides in support of traditional classroom teaching.
• Support Formal Course Reviews and Curriculum Updates.
• Conduct training gap analysis and provide formal feedback/recommendations for course improvement.
• Develop, test, maintain, and deliver moderately complex Navy Combat Systems training programs and related materials in support of CSCS training objectives.
• Establish and review course content and objectives.
• Conduct training sessions and develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
• Maintain records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
• Provide primary instruction in Aegis IAMD Advanced Warfare Training as a Tactical Action Officer (TAO) preferably with Aegis Baseline 9C knowledge and experience.
• Act as Warfare Commander in scenario lab based environments.
• Support other instructor qualifications, perform NETC evaluations and assist Site Lead/Manager as required.
