The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team within Travelers Cybersecurity organization is seeking an IAM Operations Engineer to join the IAM Operations support team. This role is responsible for reviewing server and application performance metrics to identify bottlenecks, address issues, and enhance efficiency. The engineer will work across diverse engineering teams and lines of business to quickly troubleshoot, identify, and resolve business-impacting incidents. The position requires an individual who remains organized, focused, and calm under pressure. Participation in 24/7 critical application support is expected, occasionally involving work after hours and weekends for implementing changes or troubleshooting issues. The role demands excellent communication skills (written and oral) for handling potentially difficult customer conversations and the ability to multitask in an environment of changing priorities. This is a technical, self-driven, self-learning, people-oriented position designed for individuals who thrive in quickly changing, challenging situations. Under general supervision, the engineer will demonstrate a general understanding of activities related to Identity and Access Management support. They will plan at an operational level, designing and developing technology solutions by interfacing with appropriate customers, management, and technical resources. The role facilitates and/or participates in the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions supporting one or more business and/or technology areas. This job does not manage others.
