About The Position

As the I&T Resiliency and Data Governance Specialist, you will champion best practices in incident response, continuity, and disaster recovery (DR) planning and play a critical role in safeguarding the organization’s ability to respond to incidents and maintain operational continuity, while ensuring the integrity and governance of I&T Resiliency and DR data. The role supports the development and enforcement of standards, coordinates training and exercises, and monitors compliance with data governance frameworks. You’ll collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts across the Enterprise to document, manage, and report on resiliency and disaster recovery information. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in monitoring data governance and compliance frameworks, helping to safeguard the organization’s ability to respond to incidents and maintain operational continuity. This role is critical in supporting and maintaining I&T Resiliency data integrity within our systems and processes. In addition, this role will support I&T Data Governance Risk and Compliance processes as they pertain to I&T.

Requirements

  • Related University Degree with a minimum of 4 years’ Post-secondary Education in Business, Information Technology, business analyst and/or similar field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in I&T Resiliency and Disaster Recovery, Information Technology, business analyst and/or other related field
  • Experience and a successful proven track record in design, development and maintaining dashboards and reports for I&T Resiliency, Disaster recovery, Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Governance, using tools like ServiceNow and Power BI.
  • Experience and strong knowledge of I&T resiliency, DR concepts, governance frameworks, compliance processes and technical incident response.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of technology architecture related to the management of Disaster Recovery.
  • Experience in the development, implementation, and stewardship of I&T Resiliency and Disaster Recovery systems and/or programs.
  • Familiarity with governance frameworks and compliance processes.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills, excellent communication, collaboration, and change management skills with strong understanding of these concepts and strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative, with strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Must be flexible and embrace change with a positive mindset.
  • Team player who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be legal to work in Canada and requires the successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Two pieces of valid Government issued ID will be required and two professional references will be requested.

Nice To Haves

  • Accreditation in Project Management, Data Management, Information Management and/or Business Analyst would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate workshops with Directors, Managers and subject matter experts, in documenting in system technical Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity (BC) Plans and Business Impact Assessments
  • Analyze, support and ensure data integrity as it pertains to I&T Resiliency, Disaster recovery, Business Continuity Management (BCM) within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Support Asset Owners and Support Services with DR and Business Continuity Management (BCM) processes and systems.
  • Develop, document, and maintain technical Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) plans.
  • Lead workshops and support business owners in completing Business Impact Assessments (BIA).
  • Document and manage issues, actions and tasks related to for I&T Resiliency and Disaster Recovery
  • Support I&T Data Governance Risk and Compliance processes as they pertain to I&T.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and analysts to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Monitor compliance with governance frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Support governance of DR and BCM processes as per policies and standards.
  • Develop, maintain and support I&T Resiliency training plan, in collaboration with Enterprise BCM, and report on status.
  • Support with coordinating testing/exercises of technical plans, including technical testing
  • Support actual events/incidents and supporting incident and recovery efforts.
