About The Position

Make data meaningful. Help transform information into insights that drive better decisions. Join our team and support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the County's Business Intelligence (BI) environment. In this role, you'll collaborate with analysts, administrators, and business partners to create impactful dashboards, improve data quality, and help deliver reporting solutions that support County operations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree Preferred: Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Business Administration
  • Two (2) years of experience in Information Technology
  • Knowledge of MS SQL.
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., PowerBI, Power Pivot).
  • Knowledge of data-modeling, data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge Power BI.
  • Performance tuning and query optimization knowledge.
  • Intermediate or Advanced knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS).
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, service providers, other employees, and the general public.
  • Ability to adapt to new ideas and approaches.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent focus and attention to details.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of interactive dashboards and business intelligence solutions.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence and IT teams to identify reliable data sources and ensure consistent reporting standards.
  • Assist employees in creating meaningful dashboards that communicate data effectively and answer key business questions.
  • Provide training and guidance to help users understand, interpret, and utilize business intelligence tools.
  • Monitor data quality by identifying unusual trends and reporting data inconsistencies.
  • Assist with maintaining the Business Intelligence environment, including data integrations and automated jobs.
  • Troubleshoot reporting and data integration issues while providing outstanding customer service and technical support.
  • Deliver responsive assistance and problem resolution through a variety of communication channels.
