About The Position

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the installation and operation of instruments and automation/electrical equipment for new battery builds, upgrades and new well installations. This position requires effective coordination with various company personnel and contractors. Provide detailed reporting of daily activities and progress reports of all active projects. The I&E Technician will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple projects at once.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of I&E experience
  • 2 years of oilfield experience
  • Knowledge in SCADA network architecture
  • Familiar with local and national electrical codes (NEC)
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Able to meet insurability standards to drive a company vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • Self-starter capable of performing with minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Basic knowledge of programming
  • State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License
  • PLC programming experience

Responsibilities

  • Closely follow the infrastructure schedule to plan and coordinate activities.
  • Provide IFC drawings and supporting documentation to contractors for successful installation of electrical and automation equipment.
  • Coordinate and oversee installation of lightning protection, communication towers, burner management systems, gas measurement, and ESP surface equipment.
  • Participate in pre- and post-job safety meetings.
  • Log daily activities, forecasts, and costs in SiteView.
  • Report overall status and estimated time to completion (ETC) to the I&E Construction Foreman.
  • Provide support throughout POP and Flowback activities.
  • Identify all risks associated with any assigned work prior to execution.
  • Test, inspect, operate, and troubleshoot electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot using P&IDs and loop diagrams.
  • Perform minor PLC edits and troubleshoot logic as needed.
  • Schedule daily and weekly tasks in a manner that contractors are utilized efficiently.
  • Train Flowback Operators, Production Operators, and Production I&E Techs how to operate new equipment.
  • General knowledge of NEC code and be able to identify code compliance issues during new installations.
