About The Position

This role is responsible for understanding and maintaining electrical and instrumentation equipment associated with plant processing equipment. The technician will troubleshoot and repair various electrical systems, including compressor panel control wiring, motor starter panels, control valves, and transmitters. A strong understanding of electrical schematics, P&ID drawings, PLCs, and DCS troubleshooting is essential. The position also involves performing preventive maintenance on electrical systems for processing plants and field boosters, working with electrical systems ranging from 12vdc to 4160 vac, and utilizing electrical meters and diagnostic tools. Adherence to company safety procedures, including lockout and tag out, is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-3 year(s) of related work experience.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
  • Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors.
  • Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to effectively work with minimum supervision.
  • Solid computer skills to include Microsoft Office Software.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Understand electrical and instrumentation equipment associated with plant processing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair compressor panel control wiring and associated devices.
  • Troubleshoot electrical motor starter panels and motor issues.
  • Read electrical schematics and P&ID's drawings.
  • Work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Maintain and work on different types of control valves and transmitters.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs and DCS.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems for processing plants and field boosters.
  • Work on electrical systems ranging from 12vdc to 4160 vac.
  • Use electrical meters and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and lockout and tag out procedures.
  • Execute all maintenance activities related to pipeline maintenance and operation.
  • Work in changing climate conditions.
  • Work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
  • Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex).
