About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking a reliable, safety-oriented I&E Technician with strong mechanical aptitude for its Rollinsford, New Hampshire team. The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician performs hands-on instrument checks and calibrations, PLC logic programming, and diagnosis of control-circuitry issues. The technician also assists the electrical and maintenance departments with tasks as needed. The stated wage is $38–$45 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

PLC troubleshooting experience.
Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs.
Knowledge of Data Control Systems (DCS).
Experience with 480V and below.
Must be willing to assist maintenance and other teams when needed.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights and in confined or tight spaces.
Able to stoop, bend, and stand for long periods.
Able to work in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Six or more years of electrical experience.
Three or more years of instrumentation experience.
VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) troubleshooting and programming experience.
Exposure to multidisciplinary maintenance tasks.
Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
Troubleshoot instrument and control malfunctions.
Perform preventative maintenance checks and calibrations.
Maintain accurate records and logs.
Install new system controls, including power wiring.
Install cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers.
Service and replace motors and lighting.
Perform general electrical maintenance.
Assist maintenance and other teams as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
