About The Position

Ascent Resources is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Electrical Technician. This position is located in the Cambridge, OH field office and will report to the I&E Foreman. This position is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electronic control systems on production facilities.

Requirements

Working knowledge of oil and gas production basics
Understanding of fundamental mathematics
Ability to identify potential hazards in the field (related to oil & gas)
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
Attention to detail
High school diploma or GED
3+ years of industry experience
Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
24VDC controls and power systems
120 VAC power systems

Understanding of basic principles of production control systems to API RP 14C
Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
Meet Ascent’s Motor Vehicle Record and driver qualifications
Associates (2 year) or Technical Degree
Emerson control experience
Oil & Gas production operations experience
Emerson ROC 800 training

Break/fix and troubleshooting of production pad level instrumentation
Control system testing
Solution design for long-term remediation of chronic control issues
Communicate with Lease Operators on issues and resolutions
Other duties assigned as needed
