Supports projects, installation, and maintenance of facility instrumentation and electrical components to ensure a safe, comfortable, operating environment. This role involves identifying current and future Instrumentation/Controls requirements, directing and supervising contractors, assisting in employee training, and ensuring equipment operates properly by determining work priorities and scheduling repairs, maintenance, and installations. The position also supports product development and improvement by reviewing new product plans and coordinating activities with other facility crafts. The technician will support and maintain Electronic, Mechanical, and Pneumatic instrumentation, support Operations and Maintenance departments, and troubleshoot calibrations of various transmitters and switches. Responsibilities include DCS/PLC maintenance and troubleshooting, utilizing trends to diagnose operational issues, responding to power outages, and running conduit and tubing as needed. The role also requires adherence to company values, vision, and mission, as well as established work schedules and attendance standards. Additionally, the technician will maintain low and medium voltage equipment and be available 24 hours a day on call for emergencies.
