About The Position

Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is seeking an I&E Supervisor for the SACROC CO2 Gas Processing Plant in Snyder, TX. This role is crucial for maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all plant Instrumentation and Electrical systems. The SACROC Gas Processing Plant handles over 300,000Hp of compression, gas dehydration, NGL Recovery, and CO2 membranes, and is a PSM Facility. The I&E Supervisor will oversee all Automation, Instrumentation, and Electrical activities, directly supervising company I&E and SCADA Support Technicians, and contractors. Secondary responsibilities may include assisting with instrumentation and electrical systems at the Snyder Gas Plant and SACROC Power Plant.

Requirements

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to KM’s insurer.
• Must be able to work with a team, take direction from manager, keep required work schedules, focus on attention to detail, and follow work rules.
• Manage budgeting, cost tracking, and expenditure reporting for the I&E team.
• Knowledge of low and medium voltage electrical systems up to 12470V, including switchgears, motor starters, and VFD’s.
• Knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems, and IFix.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of various instrumentation and end devices, psi and temp transmitters, valve positioners, level switches.
• Knowledge of synchronous motors up to 10,000hp.
• Knowledge of induction motors up to 2,000hp.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Prior supervisory experience.
• Experience with budgeting, cost tracking and reporting.
• Experience with Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Management Software.
• Experience and knowledge with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree in applicable Engineering or Technology discipline.

Responsibilities

• Drive improvements in Process Safety Management program, Preventative Maintenance program, employee development, efficient operations, and equipment reliability.
• Provide technical leadership to the I&E group.
• Prepare reliability plans for critical Electrical/Power/Instrumentation/SCADA systems.
• Responsible for Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and Critical repair activities.
• Provide support to operations to ensure plant downtime is minimized.
• Recognize and promote ideas that provide safer, more efficient, and cost-effective operations, ensuring operating costs are consistent with budgetary constraints.
• Support and work with outside groups such as process engineering, project engineering, and the Operations Excellence team on safety, optimization, and expansion initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets, monitor budgetary performance throughout the year, and report budgetary performance to the Operations Manager.
