Design electronic circuits and components for use in fields such as telecommunications, aerospace guidance and propulsion control, acoustics, or instruments and controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5-7 years of plant experience, strongly preferred.
  • Experience in managing routine Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) maintenance and project work, including procurement, schedules, budgets, and construction.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing E&I engineering calculations, designs, and technical support for maintenance and project activities.
  • Must be knowledgeable in NFPA70E, NEC, OSHA, and other related standards and codes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in using an electrical system modeling software like SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable in ISA standards, IEC standards, IEEE standards related to Instrumentation, Machine Guarding, and SIS preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for electrical and instrumentation (E&I) systems, including LOTO and permit activities.
  • Plan and manage E&I engineering and technical support, including maintenance, improvements, and technical documentation.
  • Support maintenance planning and coordination, including SAP asset structure, BOMs, spare parts, and risk-based maintenance analysis.
  • Manage E&I activities during plant shutdowns and turnarounds, coordinating with site teams, utilities, and contractors.
  • Lead or support E&I project work from design through startup, including specifications, drawings, bid packages, and contractor oversight.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance for E&I installations, maintenance practices, and documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Maintain E&I documentation and databases, support MOCs and incident investigations, and provide E&I-related training while upholding HACCP, ISO, and RC14001 standards.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams, seeking support from senior engineers on larger or complex projects to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
