About The Position

The I&E Foreman is responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, customer requirements, and company standards. This position serves as the primary field leader for assigned projects and plays a critical role in crew development, safety compliance, quality control, scheduling, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of industrial electrical and instrumentation experience.
  • Previous experience leading crews
  • Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation installation practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, electrical drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and industrial work practices.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent field experience.
  • NCCER, OSHA 30, or other industry certifications.
  • Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise field crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
  • Plan, organize, and assign daily work activities to maximize productivity and meet project schedules.
  • Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and mentorship to crew members.
  • Promote accountability, professionalism, and adherence to AIS values and expectations.
  • Assist with workforce planning and manpower forecasting.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
  • Enforce all company safety policies, customer requirements, and PPE standards.
  • Identify and address potential hazards before work begins.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Lead by example in maintaining a strong safety culture.
  • Review drawings, specifications, work packages, and project scopes prior to execution.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address issues impacting schedule or productivity.
  • Ensure installations meet customer specifications, quality standards, and industry best practices.
  • Support project startup, commissioning, testing, and turnover activities as required.
  • Serve as the primary field contact for customers and project stakeholders when needed.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers, subcontractors, and other trades.
  • Communicate project status, manpower needs, challenges, and schedule impacts to management.
  • Participate in project meetings and planning discussions.
  • Complete daily reports, timekeeping records, and project documentation accurately and on time.
  • Track labor hours, material usage, and equipment utilization.
  • Document field changes, delays, safety observations, and quality concerns.
  • Assist with maintaining project records and closeout documentation.
  • Assist with project estimating activities, including site visits, field takeoffs, scope reviews, and labor input.
  • Participate in customer job walks, pre-job planning meetings, and project kickoffs.
  • Document field progress through photographs, daily reports, and project documentation.
  • Support project managers, estimators, and operations leadership with field information needed for proposals, change orders, scheduling, and project execution.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, startup, commissioning, and project closeout activities as required.
  • Support multiple projects and crews as business needs dictate.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support safe, efficient, and successful project execution, customer satisfaction, and overall business operations.
