About The Position

This position is within the Earthwork Department and reports to the Site Superintendent. The role involves supervising and coordinating team members to ensure efficient and high-standard task completion, monitoring daily on-site activities, and ensuring work adheres to plans, specifications, and safety regulations. A key responsibility includes monitoring and maintaining erosion and sediment control measures to comply with ADEM regulations, project specifications, and environmental permits. The Site Foreman I will also monitor the quality of work, assist in maintaining an organized and clean work environment, document incidents, and foster good relationships with various stakeholders. The role requires adherence to all safety rules and regulations, and the ability to represent the company professionally.

Requirements

Experience in a construction setting
Ability to communicate and convey information effectively
Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds
Knowledge of OSHA Standards
Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations and compliance requirements, including those established by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM).
Requires personal transportation to job sites
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required
Work weekends and overtime as needed
Committed to attending work each day
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Nice To Haves

Ability to obtain Arsenal and FBI Badge preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Assist in supervising and coordinating the work of team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to required standards
Monitor daily activities on-site, ensuring that work is performed according to plans, specifications, and safety regulations
Monitor and maintain erosion and sediment control measures to ensure compliance with ADEM regulations, project specifications, and environmental permits.
Monitor the quality of work performed by team members, ensuring it meets project specifications and standards
Assist in managing an organized and clean work environment, addressing any hazards or obstructions
Document and report any incidents or issues that occur
Maintain a high level of quality work at all times
Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times
Aid coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift
Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
Perform other duties as assigned
Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner
