About The Position

Turner & Townsend is seeking an I&E Design Project Manager to work with our team on a large-scale battery manufacturing facility for our client in MS. This role provides support and reports to the assigned Project Manager(s) or Project Director, with frequent interaction with the Owner/Client, consultants, design professionals, and contractors. The position directly assists the Project Manager(s) in managing, coordinating, and administering civil scopes through all phases of design and construction. It is responsible for ensuring all aspects of client services are delivered at the highest level to address the client’s needs. The role aids in the preparation of various project documents, including reports, schedules, invoices, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes/agendas, daily reports, change orders, inspections, closeout documentation, and client presentations. This includes programming, civil design, and construction, and assisting in maintaining project information in project management software. The role also coordinates to schedule meetings with the project team as directed by the Project Manager(s), communicates conceptual civil designs, and creates/maintains project documentation before, during, and after construction. Maintenance of Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for civil elements is also a key responsibility. The role involves reviewing and informing design RFPs, managing external design consultants through the design and construction process, and effectively communicating design standards to internal and external project partners. The ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously and think outside the box to find innovative solutions to reduce costs without negative impacts on quality or reliability is crucial. Additionally, the role oversees the commissioning of electrical scopes and coordinates with the project management team for project completion.

Requirements

  • College Degree in civil engineering or construction management preferred.
  • Experience and working in Project Management on large-scale construction programs.
  • Construction consultancy experience is strongly desirable.
  • Experienced in Civil design.
  • Prior commissioning experience.
  • Manufacturing or Mission Critical experience is strongly desirable.
  • Solid working proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to be highly effective in a client facing role.
  • Team player; ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality programs.
  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment.
