About The Position

Responsible for the safe application of oxygen at pressures up to 66 feet of seawater under the direction of the Technical Director and Hyperbaric Physicians. As directed by the Technical Director, oversees the maintenance and operation of associated life support systems and equipment. Oversees chamber operations when the Technical Director is absent. May serve as the department’s Safety Director after completing an HBO safety director course. May also serve as the department’s primary educator and lead in-service training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) certification from the NBDHMT required within one year of hire.
• Two years of clinical hyperbaric operations experience.
• Must be a registered Paramedic, EMT, licensed allied health care professional, or military equivalent, at the discretion of the Technical Director.
• Michigan State Paramedic License or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license required upon hire, as applicable.
