The Hyperbaric Safety Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of hyperbaric chambers and related equipment, ensuring patient and operational safety. This role also involves providing hyperbaric training to personnel on safe operations, maintenance, and safety processes.

Requirements

Completion of an NBDHMT recognized introductory hyperbaric medicine course or equivalent military training.
Two or more years of experience in the operation and maintenance of monoplace hyperbaric chambers.
Flexibility with hours.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read and communicate effectively.
Problem solving skills.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Team building skills.
Basic improvement concepts and techniques.
Knowledge of standards and codes related to hyperbaric facilities and U.S. Navy Diving Manuals.
Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) certification required at time of hire.

Leadership experience.
Completion of the Hyperbaric safety director course to be obtained within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related equipment.
Provides oversight for hyperbaric operations as it relates to the safety of the patient and safety of chamber operations.
Provides hyperbaric training to nursing and technical personnel related to safe hyperbaric chamber operations, maintenance procedures and hyperbaric safety processes.
