About The Position

Dentologie’s South Lake Union dental practice is seeking a full-time Hygiene Assistant to provide outstanding patient care. The role offers $25 per hour, growth opportunities, a benefits package, full-time hours, and a balanced schedule. The schedule is Monday 12:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m., Tuesday 7:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., Wednesday 12:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m., Thursday 7:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., and Friday 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. The Hygiene Assistant supports hygienists and providers with patient care, chairside assistance, instrument preparation, sterilization, patient comfort, and oral health education. The role also involves obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans or photos. Requirements

At least six months of dental assistant experience.
Active Washington State dental assistant registration number.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service, and written communication skills.
Clinical knowledge and skills, along with patient-care ability.
Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate.
Ability to function well in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties.
Assist the hygienist chairside during examinations and treatment procedures.
Provide an outstanding patient experience.
Prepare instruments and materials for upcoming procedures.
Pass dental instruments between provider and assistant during four-handed dentistry.
Help patients feel comfortable in the chair and prepare them for treatment.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories after treatment.
Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education.
Obtain dental radiographs and intra-oral scans or photos.
