About The Position

Mortenson Family Dental is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hygiene Assistant to support patient care in a respectful, supportive dental practice. The role involves preparing and sterilizing rooms, assisting the hygienist and patients throughout appointments, supporting scheduling and patient education, and performing laboratory duties. The position is full-time, with 36 weekly hours, at the practice located at 137 Simpsonville-Buck Creek Rd, Simpsonville, KY 40067. Salary is up to $20 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Obtain radiology and CPR certifications within the required timeframe.
Pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Set up rooms for hygiene procedures, sterilize rooms after each patient, and restock supplies after appointments.
Seat patients, take vitals, and obtain consents.
Assist the hygienist with patient charting.
Schedule patients’ next appointments and assist with schedule coordination.
Review patients’ medical and dental histories.
Assist with patient education and oral hygiene instruction.
Perform laboratory duties, including pouring models and fabricating whitening trays.
