About The Position

Abbeville is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hygiene Assistant to support its dental hygiene team and provide exceptional patient care. The role involves preparing and sterilizing treatment rooms, assisting with patient intake and care, supporting charting and scheduling, reviewing medical and dental histories, providing oral hygiene education, and performing laboratory duties. This is a full-time position with 38 weekly hours, located at 3709 Austin Ave, Brownwood, TX 76801. The salary is up to $22 per hour, based on experience. Benefits are available after 60 days of employment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Obtain radiology and CPR certifications within the required timeframe.
Pass a background check and drug screening; employment offers are contingent upon successful completion.

Responsibilities

Set up rooms for hygiene procedures, sterilize rooms after each patient, and restock supplies after appointments.
Seat patients, take vitals, obtain consents, and assist the hygienist with patient charting.
Schedule patients’ next appointments and assist with schedule coordination.
Review patients’ medical and dental histories.
Assist with patient education and oral hygiene instruction.
Perform laboratory duties such as pouring models and fabricating whitening trays.
