About The Position

Badger Infrastructure Solutions is hiring a Hydrovac Operator to operate hydrovac equipment using high-pressure water and vacuum systems for precise excavation, utility exposure, and construction projects. The role involves work in a variety of environments, including confined spaces, and requires attention to safety, customer service, and accurate documentation. Operators also drive hydrovac trucks for approximately 10–15% of their work time. The position pays $30.00 per hour and up, with opportunities for career advancement and pay increases.

Requirements

Hold a valid Class A or Class B CDL.
Be able to work variable shifts with extended hours.
Be willing to travel up to 25%.
Be able to lift, push, and pull more than 50 pounds and have the physical stamina for manual labor in varying weather conditions.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be customer-service-focused and comfortable interacting with customers.
Be enthusiastic about working as part of a safety-focused, collaborative team.
Be comfortable with technology.
Undergo a physical examination and pre-employment screenings, including a driver's abstract review and drug and alcohol test.

Nice To Haves

CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection, and OSHA 10 certifications.
Experience driving a manual transmission (10–18 speed) without automatic restrictions.
Prior hydrovac equipment operation or related industrial experience.

Responsibilities

Operate hydrovac equipment and perform hydrovac duties in a variety of work environments, including confined spaces.
Drive hydrovac trucks for approximately 10–15% of total work time.
Attend safety meetings.
Perform routine inspections and minor repairs of hydrovac equipment.
Prepare work areas by setting up safety measures and addressing potential hazards.
Accurately and efficiently document and report Badger, federal, state, and customer paperwork.
