About The Position

Badger Infrastructure Solutions is hiring a Hydrovac Operator to perform safe, precise excavation using high-pressure water and vacuum systems. The role supports utility exposure and construction and infrastructure projects in a variety of work environments, including confined spaces. Operators drive hydrovac trucks for approximately 10–15% of their work time and may travel up to 25%. The position offers $30.00 per hour and up based on experience, with opportunities for pay increases and career advancement. Personal protective equipment is provided. Employment includes variable shifts and extended hours.

Requirements

• Hold a valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Be able to work variable shifts with extended hours.
• Be willing to travel up to 25%.
• Be able to lift, push, and pull more than 50 pounds and perform manual labor in varying weather conditions.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be customer-service-focused and comfortable interacting with customers.
• Be enthusiastic about working as part of a safety-focused, collaborative team.
• Be technologically adept.
• Undergo a physical examination and pre-employment screenings, including a driver's abstract review and drug and alcohol test.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection, and OSHA 10 certifications.
• Experience driving a 10–18-speed manual transmission without automatic restrictions.
• Prior hydrovac equipment operation or related industrial experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydrovac equipment and perform hydrovac duties in varied work environments, including confined spaces.
• Drive hydrovac trucks for approximately 10–15% of total work time.
• Attend safety meetings.
• Perform routine inspections and minor repairs of hydrovac equipment.
• Prepare work areas by setting up safety measures and addressing potential hazards.
• Accurately and efficiently document and report Badger, Federal, State, and customer paperwork.
