About The Position

Encon is seeking a skilled Hydronics Specialist to join our team. This full-time position offers a $10k sign-on bonus for individuals holding specific CT HVAC licenses (S1, S2, S10, and D2). The role involves the installation, setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various heating and cooling systems, including geothermal, hydronic, radiant heating, hot water heaters, gas piping, snow melt, geo systems, and chiller systems. You will work with a variety of materials and tools, read blueprints, manage project tasks, and ensure compliance with building codes. We are a drug-free workplace and an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
Knowledge of normal safety practices pertaining to the trade.
Exceptional customer service skills
Professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, flexible and team player
Good communication skills; written and verbal
Positive attitude with good organizational skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
Minimum 10 years of experience
Valid driver's license.
OSHA 10 or 30
S or D license
CT trade license
Employment/education will be verified.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

Install geothermal, hydronic, radiant heating systems, hot water heaters, gas piping, snow melt, geo systems, and chiller systems.
Set up boilers, hot water heaters, and gas piping, chillers and geo systems.
Troubleshoot and wiring.
Work with copper, PEX, black iron, and victaulic.
Use tools like soldering, ProPress, fusion welding, and victaulic grooving.
Read blueprints and create materials lists.
Balance water systems and check for issues.
Ensure work meets building codes.
Help with project updates and work orders.
Support the project team and report any issues.
Perform other related tasks as needed.
