About The Position
Roquette is a family-owned global leader in plant-based ingredients and a leading provider of pharmaceutical excipients. The Hydro Operator supports safe, environmental and quality-compliant plant operations, performs Hydrogenation Operator duties, and maintains process and workplace standards. This position works a 24/7 rotating shift schedule and is located in Gurnee, Illinois.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Manufacturing, chemical processing, industrial operations, or related experience preferred.
- Ability to qualify on the Hydrogenation Operator position within the designated timeframe.
- Qualified to drive a fork lift.
Responsibilities
- Support and adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Perform the duties of the Hydrogenation Operator position.
- Operate and monitor process equipment using the Foxboro DCS system and field equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections, process sampling, troubleshooting, and process adjustments.
- Handle catalyst and process chemicals and perform manual operations as required.
- Work closely with maintenance personnel, contractors, and other plant employees.
- Maintain process logs, records, and assigned computer functions.
- Maintain a clean workplace free of product buildup.
- Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
